Located in the Northern Mountains of the Earth Kingdom, the towering temple is home to many male monks and students. The temple has only one long strenuous path leading to it that trails through the mountains. The most affective way to reach the temple that lies in the center of the mountains is flight.

The Eastern Air Temple is in actuality the Air Nomad's only village. The large "temple" is situated on three separate mountains connected by enclosed bridges. All structures are connected by enclosed structures to keep them all warm. The temple is always covered by thick clouds, and the only way to reach the temple is by flying bison.

The Southern Air temple is the smallest of the Air temples, functioning primarily as a school for male airbenders and a shrine to past avatars. The valleys that lay beneath it are fruitful enough for the temple to be self sustaining and sometimes export goods. The Patola Mountains that surround the temple are filled with flying bison.

The Western Air Temple is a large collection of structures hidden underneath a cliff in a mountain range not far from the Fire Nation. The structures are upside down and many of the rooms can only be accessed by airbenders. It is decorated with many fountains and man-made waterfalls.

The Spirit Oasis is a verdant and lush garden located in a cave in the Northern Water Tribe's capital city at the North Pole. Although the land outside is perpetually frozen, the Spirit Oasis itself is warm.

The second largest structure in the Northern Water Tribe is also the world's largest and most efficient hospital. Inside is a large assortment of treatment facilities that use technology from all nations as well as traditional remedies and waterbending.

Lunar Tide Academy stands in the center of the city, not far from the palace and hospital. Students from all tribes travel here to train under the greatest waterbending masters. However, only boys are allowed to learn here.

These interconnecting ice caverns are located underneath the city and were naturally created by the ocean water eroding away the ice. Seals and other animals live in these ice caverns and the only way to get to them is to swim underneath the freezing water.

The great water tribe city is lined with icy streets and canals for the transportation of people and goods. Many respectable shops line the streets.

No New Posts Frozen Tundra

This massive stretch of arctic tundra covers most of the North Pole. The treacherous terrain makes it impossible for anyone to live there. Only highly skilled, arctic hunters travel on the terrain, hunting the animals that live there, and they never stay longer than a few days at a time. Heavy winter blizzards constantly pelt the tundra, and unstable ice sheets often give way under the slightest pressure. Even experienced Waterbenders and warriors think twice about venturing into this dangerous environment.

The large Water Tribe fort sits in the front of the city, connecting directly to the frozen ocean walls. The fort holds many soldiers and trainees as well as an extensive armory. The naval ships connected to the fort are now powerful enough to compete with those of the Fire Nation and Earth Kingdom.

The Banyan-Grove Tree is the the hub and the whole of Foggy Swamp. It's roots are all interconnected and spread for miles, "As one big living organism, spread across the entire world." The tree house built on the great tree is the largest structure in the swamp. Although it is entirely built of different woods the palace is still beautiful in its own way. It is home to the tribal chief and the chief's family. It also serves as a court house.

The Capital of the Foggy Swamp Tribe is a huge community of interconnected treehouses, built in different styles. The connecting bridges are extensive, and the village is large considering its multiple layers. It includes residences, shops, and restaurants.

Also known simply as The Swamp, it is a vast, mysterious wetland which covers a very large area of the southwest Earth Kingdom. The swamp is very densely packed with with a great variety of creatures, including: the glowing fly, elbow leech, blood sucking insects, screeching birds, and the catgator.

The Swamp Delta is a small shipping town that allows the Foggy Swamp Village to trade with other tribes and nations. The people here live in a more "civilized" village like those in the Earth Kingdom. The ships used by the Foggy Swamp Town are wooden and run by sails and waterbending. However, there are few waterbenders in the village.

Reef City is a large, spectacular city that has been built on several small islands and in some areas on top of the water itself. The city's structures were initially made of coral and limestone, but as time moved on more expensive building materials became available. It is the third largest city in the world, behind Omashu, and the second richest behind the Fire Nation Capital. It has been dubbed the "Reef that Never Sleeps" because the constant influx of trading ships, excited tourists, and a zealous nightlife.

Hidden in the western shadow of the worlds most active above ground volcano, Kanaloa, is Fort Ku. This huge fort would surprise most foreigners because of its vastness, its extensive training of all residents, and being built from metal, but no outside has ever seen it. The awkward shape of Kanaloa's tips keeps the lava-flowing volcano from damaging the fort. It also covers the western border of the island chain with young isles, steaming water, ash, and thick fog. All of this blows west, making the islands hard to approach from the west.

The South Crescent Beach is the highest profile vacation site in the world. In the center of the crescent moon shaped island is the largest palace in the water nation, which is home to the Tribal Chief and several priests. Closest to this palace are luxurious hotels and shops. On the fringes of the crescent are extravagant estates belonging to the Water Tribe elite, and the wealthiest people from all nations. To the north is an expansive and busy port The beach to the south is known around the world for its white sand and clear blue waters.

Ba Sing Se is the largest city in the world as wells as the Earth Kingdom Capital city. It is also the center of, and population majority, of the Earth Kingdom's Northeastern Region. Its is called the impenetrable city because of its strong inner and outer walls. Within the outer wall there are large farming as well as mountains. The inner wall shields the main city. Coal trains make traveling through the region easy.

The Serpent's Pass is a narrow strip of land between two large lakes that links the Northeastern and Central regions of the Earth Kingdom, and is one of the very few direct paths to the capital, Ba Sing Se. It is named after the serpent which guards it, which makes the pass feared in the Earth Kingdom. Most travelers refuse to use the pass and instead cross the lake by boat.

The Great Divide is the largest canyon in the world. It is located in the rocky regions of the Central Earth Kingdom. The Great Divide can be crossed in about a full day if one has an expert guide. Some believe that the canyon was a natural result of millions of years of erosion, while local belief holds that the canyon was first formed by angered Earth Spirits who lacked proper sacrifices from local farmers. The canyon is home to various insects and omnivorous arachnoid creatures, mostly those known as Canyon Crawlers.

The Senlin Village is the largest village in the Earth Kingdom's Central Region, and is home to the regional monarchy. Farming accounts for a majority of the village's economy, but trade with the Fire Nation makes it truly wealthy. Its is surrounded by a thick forest and the ocean, and beyond the forest is a mountain range. It is the closest point the Earth Kingdom has to the Fire Nation, and it has a large path that cuts through the forest and mountain range.

This medium sized village rests on the edge of the Central Regions mountain range, and is home to the world's largest coal mine. The ancient forest that surrounds the town is descended from an even more vast forest that now feeds the town.

The seedy merchants pier is a small harbor and town in the Earth Kingdom. It is a tiny trading port with a seedy element. Here one can buy almost anything - from jewelery to pottery to musical instruments such as Tsungi Horns and trivial items such as Bison Whistles. The Seedy Merchant's Pier welcomes all nations so long as they have an inclination for a bargain. This seemingly unlawful Northwestern town is made rich from its trade position, allowing it to send goods to all of the Northern regions. If its businesses weren't ran by brutal thugs, it could develop into a marvelous port city.

Located in the Northeastern region is the Earth Kingdom's largest prison and hugest metal structure, Pohuai Prison. The prison holds convicts from all over the Kingdom, and benders are automatically sent here. Only war prisoners and those convicted of treason find themselves in a worst place.

Taku is the Earth Kingdom's third largest city and the Northeastern Regions capital. The city is a center of commerce, and deals with trade and tourists from the Fire Nation, Northern Water Tribe, Tropical Water Tribe, Northern Air Temple, and Western Air Temple. It is also home to the Herbalist Institute, a hefty meat trading industry, and a self sustaining farming community. These assets, a long with its easily defend-able mountain position, make the city an important fortress as well.

The Makapu Village is a Northeastern Farming and Tourist farm that rests underneath a large volcano. The volcanic soil is very fertile, and the large local plantations export lots of food every year. The Abbey is a medium-sized Northeastern construction that can be found on a few miles away from the Mo Ce Sea on the west coast of the Earth Kingdom. Over four hundred years old, the ancient structure expresses a simple design of high walls and a large courtyard, reflecting the simple life of the nuns that dwell within it. Women of all nations travel dwell here, and the Nuns produce a perfume that is in high Demand.

Omashu is the second largest city in the Earth Kingdom and the capital of one of its provinces. Only Ba Sing Se, the titanic capital of the Earth Kingdom, is larger. Omashu is located in the Kolau Mountain Range in the southwestern Earth Kingdom. The city is built on a number of hills, and is surrounded by a wide gorge. Omashu is heavily fortified. The mountains nearby are home to several metal mines, and the mines as well as metal craftsmanship power the city's economy.

The Fire Nation Capital is the seat of the government for the Fire Nation. It is home to the Fire Lord, the royal family, and nobles of the Fire Nation. The capital is located on the Capital Island, a larger island in the western region of the Fire Nation. The city is one of the larger cities in the Four Nations. It has a distinct layout, consisting of a harbor surrounded by a dock and the Royal Plaza, a industrial Harbor City behind the Plaza, buildings and homes scattered around the surrounding hills, and finally, another neighborhood in the crater of a dormant volcano known as Caldera, where Fire Nation elite live around the Royal Palace. The city has extensive defense works and is heavily fortified.

The Great Gates of Azulon guard the sea entrance that leads to the Fire Nation Capital. Built early in Azulon's reign, the gates are notable for having a large net guard the main entrance, which is ignited when used, and for the statues of Azulon and two dragons.

Located on a formerly uninhabited island in the Fire Nation, the Black Cliffs are a very secluded place. The Beautiful harbor is home to a slowly growing settlement intended to be a shipping town because of its location. The Black Cliffs are inhabited by two major animals. Both Koala Sheep and Boar-Q-Pines call the Black Cliffs home.

Fire Fountain City is a large, industrial city located in the Fire Nation. It is named for the large, fire-breathing statue of Fire Lord Kazai in its center. It is located on one of the many islands in the eastern half of the Fire Nation.Many factories are located in the city, and pollution is extensive. The city is a working class town with very seedy elements. It is considered unsafe to walk around Fire Fountain City at night, so most citizens stay indoors.

The Crescent Island is a volcanic island on the outskirts of the Fire Nation archipelago. The Fire Temple is the only structure on the island. The temple was built on the island so that it aligned with the solstices and equinoxes, and houses a branch of the Fire Sages.

The Boiling Rock is a massive Fire Nation prison. Its name is derived from the fact that the prison is on an island in the middle of a boiling lake on a volcanic island. The Boiling Rock is where the most dangerous prisoners in the Fire Nation are held, domestic and foreign alike. Some examples of prisoners held here include robbers, traitors, and war prisoners.

A sprawling, ancient city that is popularly thought to be an uninhabited ruin. Much of this stone metropolis is now covered in vines and sits unused. This is because the tribe is much smaller than it used to be. Some of the architecture of this ancient city is mirrored in today's Fire Nation architecture, including the Fire Sages' temples.
